I've been approached to possibly do some web work. I'm quite rusty, to say the least... But I do keep all my language books, so I could mangle my way through it, likely. Also, I keep all my old code, so good chunks of it would be based off of that stuff (including this blog... It might not look pretty, but its very modular behind the scenes).

Should I buy a new iPod touch yet? 32gig touch would be realllly nice... Christmas gift to self?

Still havent quit UPS... Overtime is now approved there, so I've been putting big hours into a project with a close deadline. Yay for looking like an all-star... sadface @ lack-o'-life. I need a girlfriend badly, but I wouldnt want to subject her to my lack of sleep and constantly overwhelming hours at work.

Maybe I should seriously study up and get back into programming... would take a couple months for sure. Might have more time after I move (in a week) to my new house (yes, homeowner now).

For now, sleep. And music.

Well I actually called THIS blog entry "The end of things" as well, without even realizing that I did that in the previous post.

I didnt quit UPS, as I got asked to stay in the hopes that things will get better soon. We'll see. I'm really liking my 2nd job, and I can see myself making *VERY* good money there. As a part-time guy, I'm currently making more than the full-time folks in the same section. Win? :-D

Been finding some very interesting bands recently, I've been perusing the HD channel on Vimeo, and its definitely worth a look. There are some amazing videos on that site, so be patient and be prepared to go through alot of pages.

Pretty much done at UPS... Need to find a full-time, IT/Tech-related job. I'd like to be task-motivated, not responsibility-motivated for awhile. Eventually I'd like to be back in a management position, but managing teams of people, not just random collections of new-hires that are unlikely to stick around for very long. I have a great shift at UPS, and I really like the people, but I can see that its going to go downhill very quickly there. I am no longer the kind of management they 'need' in order to be successful. I also recognize that nothing I accomplish there now will make me feel as good as I did last year when I was making such a huge impact on the success of the sort.

Enough of that.

Had my special someone over for a movie last night, and that was pretty relaxing. We had some icecream and talked alot as well... A very relaxing night. She went home after the movie though, wanted to sleep in her own bed. Kinda disappointing, but understandable. Hoping she'll be spending more time here, but I can see its going to be a slow development until she's back into her own place (living with ex due to financial reasons right now).

Could be checking out UFC 100 tonight, got invited to an event by a guy from work. I'll be doing that for sure, but I'm hoping I can get someone else to go with me.

Almost time for a re-formatting of my main system, although I hesitate to do it while my lappy is out of commission. I'd like to put in an SSD in prep for Windows 7, as well as re-arrange partitions on the RAID setup. We'll see how it all goes, still pricing things out, and looking at what I have for income.

I need to get some custom computer projects. Given out a couple business cards at Visions, but no callbacks yet. Work in progress, it'll be interesting to try.

Great song by Pink Floyd. I really should watch The Wall again soon... This weekend should open up, maybe I'll invite a certain someone over to enjoy that with me. Had a good conversation on the phone with her today... Definitely need to keep in contact, even if its only for a few minutes a day. Helped turn a terrible day at UPS into a decent overall day.

UPS was wierd and irritating today. I really did try to make it successful, but sleeping in and then dealing with sheer stupidity all day made that impossible. I'm going to make a courageous and valiant effort to un-fuck tomorrow's likely insanity. However, I am but one man. And UPS is a company with 100 years experience at making blind errors.

Battery in my phone is starting to flake out on me... Looks likely nightly charging is going to become a ritual for me. Speaking of charging, my bro's Dell charger toasted on him, so he's using mine. Consequently, no lappy for awhile, since my battery is eff'd. I'll have that 1o minutes before it dies, but I'm saving that for a rainy (read, power outage'd) day.

My sister was here for the afternoon, and she watched the Dark Knight for the first time. Definitely a great movie, she liked it. It was good bro/sis time, and we dont get a chance to have that alot. She's off to camp for 7 weeks starting on Friday, so I'm glad we got to hang out before then.

Continuing to rate my music... Progress is decent, but I'm STILL under 50% rated. Around 8000 songs left to rate... Yikes. Onward! Its hard to find a good system to be reasonably effective/fast.

Today was a pretty uneventful day. UPS went smoothly, and my other job was decent as well. Finalized my salesman's test, so now I'm officially an employee of Visions Electronics, with a salesman number. Finally, my profits will be my own! Now to make some reaaaal money. Hopefully anyways.

Zero feedback on the female front. No response to a text message earlier today, which is bothersome... but I suppose some days are busier than others. I also suspect that something is up with the SMS service, because I think I've only got like 30 messages all day, including conversations... I think my outgoing is borked. I might switch to Bell this week, if I can build a cheap enough plan. Visions has a deal until the 30th of this month that basically gives employees 50% off of any plan they want. Win?

Check out the Planet Earth blu-ray collection, if you get the chance... That is some INCREDIBLE high definition footage of some of the most spectacular things you'll never get to see on the planet. I'm tired... just catching up on my Google Reader feeds before I pass out. If I get more than a day behind on that stuff, its impossible to catch up! Saves so much time to have all my news sites just feed into that.

Well… it's getting pretty late at night, considering that I work in about five hours, but I fgured that I'd not some stuff down from the iPod to give the keyboard a real workout. Seems to be pretty solid althogh it's the Autocorrect that's really shining in this test.

I've had alot of stuff on my mind this week. Reallly having to try hard to deal with one woman in particular that ive been spending time with. Hope to make more progress soon, updates to follow.

Listening to the Dark Knight soundtrack when going to sleep is interesting... Also, Transformers has a great score as well. Don't go see the sequel in theatres tho, it's just Michael Bay blowing shit up. Even Megan Fox knows this, and told the press... Mr Bay was not pleased. It's a cool movie, just not a good one.
